Rosemary (Scientific -Salvia rosmarinus) A single plant in a pot will provide you with enough rosemary to flavor your cooking and scent the kitchen. However, if you live in an area where rosemary thrives, you could have entire hedges of the plant.

In warm climates, rosemary can be planted at any time. In climates with cold winters, plant it in the spring after the soil warms up, at least a week or so after the last frost date. When grown as a perennial in warm climates, newly planted seedlings will reach mature size and begin flowering in their second season.

Care

 Sun

 Full sun

 Soil

 Sandy

 Water

water the soil every two weeks (if the soil is dry), but always keep water in the drainage pan with the rocks in it. Because the plant likes to absorb moisture  from the air, it will enjoy the water as it evaporates from the pan. Indoor air is usually drier than outdoor air.

 Fertilizer

Feed during the spring and summer growing season,  fertilize rosemary with weekly applications of a high nitrogen formula organic fertilizer.
